I've been typing correctly again and I seem to be doing better. I still need to take breaks ever now and then. I try to push myself a little while I'm typing to hopefully up my speed. I suppose that is why I get tired.

As for my story it hit me last night. I think I know what I need to do. I just need a chance without homework and a clean focused outlook on what I'm trying to get done. :D

Riiiiiight. D: My story has hit a dead end, at least for now. I've been working the outline over in my head and I've discovered I really don't know what the story is either. I was supposed to write like mad this month but with all the crazy stuff that happened in the beginning of the month it kind of kicked me off my cracker and I haven't been able to really think about anything for my story. On day driving back home I talked with Daniel about on character's abilities. Depending what I pick will mess with the stories direction or at least it's flow. As when the characters will enter and what part they will play. I've figured out a few points but no out line. I need some serious focus time to work on this.

<+ekolis> I remember the IT support guy at school gave this HUGE presentation about laptop batteries
<+ekolis> and how you should not even THINK about using your laptop for a presentation until you make sure the batteries are ok
<+ekolis> because if it blows up and damages all the fancy new projectors...
<+ekolis> then your parents will not be happy
<+ekolis> not just a dead kid, but a huge projector bill too

This is going to be a great weekend. For the first time in a long while I don't have a test to worry about. Yay! The other day I was thinking back in second grade how my teacher was making a poster for my because I made student of the week. She had asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up. I didn't know then and I know when they asked me in daycare either. I didn't k ow when my mom's work asked me or when I got into high school. I didn't know when I started college and here I am finishing and still don't know. Does anyone really know for sure that this is what ythey whan to do? After I thought about this and was looking back I noticed I sure do remember some random stuff.

Well I just got my costume for Halloween yesterday. :D To bad Halloween was last weekend. Maybe they should have let me know that it was going to take it a month to get to me and not two weeks like it was saying.

Anyway, I've been stressing myself out. What's new huh? Last week I thought I had bombed a test because I had to go to the bathroom and rushed right through it. I just got my test grade last night and I was very surprised that I got a C. A very low C but happy none the less. My teacher was willing to help me out if my grade was low. I'm not sure if he was going to help me raise that grade or not but I cut him off and said I was happy with a C. I took the test in less than 30 minutes without reading all the questions. Getting a C means that I had a better grasp on the material than I thought. I'm happy. I was aiming for a A in the class but I'm just happy I'll pass the class.

I'm currently looking through all my news papers to see if I can complete a project I need to do with articles. So far I've got three out of five I can use. The bad thing is that they are all out of one paper. I need to look back and see what else I can find. I only need to type a paragraph on each article so this shouldn't be hard. I just need to do it and it's do at the end of the month. I'd like to just get it out of the way.

Sherri: Do you know what Rodeo Sex is?
Jason: No.
Sherri: It's when you mount your woman from behind, start going nice and slowly, take her hair and pull her head back slightly and whisper in her ear "Your sister was better than you...", and try to hold on for 8 seconds.

Awesome Halloween Story! [Saturday, 31st October 2009, 05:22PM]

[Playin' |The Doctor Who Theme]

So I worked on my costume for almost two months. For those of you who didn't know through other modes of communication, Hel and I were going as steampunk versions of the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland. My White Rabbit was actually a nine-foot steam golem suffering from incredible levels of metal fatigue who wore a white bunny mask and tried to serve tea with its one remaining arm. It looked good for what it was, and it looked great for being made out of cardboard and PVC. But it was big, and our efforts to rent a UHaul to get it down here to Florida failed. We decided to have a hitch installed on the Lincoln so that we could rent a trailer and tow it to Orlando ourselves, but they told us the day before we had to leave that they didn't have the hitch in Gulfport; it was in Atlanta and would be here yesterday evening. So we were left wrapping the golem in a car tarp and securing it to the top of the car with bungee cords, which worked great for about one hundred yards of the several hundred mile journey. Then it fell off. So we had to drive back that 100 yards and drop it off in front of the garage. So I am dressing up as a pirate this year!

Hel and I saw some cool stuff on the way down here, but I was traumatized by this one rest stop that had disgusting bathrooms (nothing flushed, the soap dispensers didn't work, the water only worked in one sink, and only just barely, the paper towel dispensers didn't work, I emerged from the bathroom to find that nobody was in the store and had to wait to buy two bottles of water that I believe were filled up in the very same bathroom, and there were rows of dead baby sharks floating in blue water jars as souveniers. Just wrong!)

So we got to our hotel and took a half hour nap (Hel's first sleep in close to three days!) before going to Universal Studios for their Halloween event. It was awesome, except that as the night went on, more and more people kept smoking outside of the designated smoking areas. Now I am generally a supporter of smokers' rights, but this bothered even me. We ended up leaving earlier than we wanted to and crashing for some long overdue sleep. Oh, we also ate at this amazing Italian place just outside the park. Yummy food and perfect service!

So this morning we went to Hurricane Who, the Doctor Who convention at our hotel. It was much, much smaller than we expected (Muso, the vendor room was not even an eighth of the size of the one at CoastCon!), but the people were friendly and the panels were largely interesting. We got to see a life-size Dalek that one of the fans built out of fiberglass and particleboard and a powered wheelchair. It gave me a ton of ideas for rebuilding my bunny golem. We also went on an adventure to find an Indian restaurant. I had looked up a few in the Yellow Pages last night, but I had no clue where any of them were, so we just drove and guessed. And my string of guesses led us unerringly to the Indian restaurant that had been my first choice the night before! We stuffed ourselves with delicious curry and nan and other yummies and went back for more Hurricane Who. It is now a quarter to seven, and we are relaxing for a bit before we dress up as pirates and head down to Church street. Apparently there is a huge party there with a $3000 costume contest. It makes me want to break my tradition so I can come back here next year with my improved bunny golem!

Anyway, I hope all of you are having a wonderful Halloween! If you have been wondering where the hell I have been lately, please feel free to look me up on facebook. I am there much more often these days.

Alex: A husband comes home to find his wife with her suitcases packed in the living room. "Where the hell do you think you're going?" he says. "I'm going to Las Vegas. You can earn $400 for a blow job there, and I figured that I might as well earn money for what I do to you free."
Alex: The husband thinks for a moment, goes upstairs, and comes back down, with his suitcase packed as well. "Where do you think you going?" the wife asks. "I'm coming with you...I want to see how you survive on $800 a year!!!"
